With Mother’s Day just around the corner, you’ll likely be seeing Mother’s Day messages coming at you from all quarters: advertisements, articles, social media posts. While we celebrate the traditional, biological mothers we also want to make an effort to recognise everyone that a traditional Mother’s Day greeting may leave out.

It’s easy to forget that no two families look alike. Whether that’s same-sex parents, single parents, foster parents, step parents, grandparents or any of the growing variety of non-traditional families, we recognise and appreciate loving families of all kinds.

We know that while Mother’s Day is a joyful time for many mums, it can also be a difficult time for those who have lost children, those who’ve lost their mothers, those who have a difficult mother-child relationship or those who are wanting to be mothers.
