The famous London nightclub recently opened a new co-working space in the heart of Elephant & Castle, to empower local creative businesses and encourage collaboration.

Called The Ministry, the new space – a former Victorian printworks – combines a co-working space and a private members’ club, but doesn’t stop there.

Among other features, the creative hub also contains:

  • A table-service restaurant;
  • A 70-foot bar;
  • An event space and a conference hall for hire;
  • A soundproofed immersive technology studio; and
  • A 36-seater private cinema.

Situated on Borough Road, it’s a stone’s throw from the legendary nightclub and just down the road from London South Bank University.

Ministry of Sound chairman Lohan Presencer spoke to Southwark Magazine about the new space.

“We’re more than a co-working space,” he said. “The Ministry is a hub for creatives by creatives – music companies, film and TV producers, marketing agencies, PR companies, creative technology start-ups, fashion designers and the arts.

“We’re about more than just desks, we’re curating a community of creatives. Why wouldn’t you want to work alongside people with the same passions as you, people who you can collaborate with?”
