We’re getting busy! With many retail units under offer in Sayer Street and Walworth Road, Elephant Park is launching the next phase of leasing.
The team is now seeking a new wave of independent businesses and established London brands for what is set to become a significant retail and dining destination in London’s Zone 1.
With a commitment to delivering affordable retail units at Elephant Park, Lendlease is making special rental offers and incentives for small, independent businesses in Elephant and Castle. You can get in touch with the leasing team here to find out more.
This phase of leasing comprises two distinct areas:
- Ash Avenue, Elephant Park’s dining and social destination; and
- New Kent Road and Chatteris Quarter, with a health, fitness and wellbeing focus, with the potential for collaborative workspaces and creative studios.
The new units on Ash Avenue will be used for large, open restaurants and bars that face on to the new park. They have all been designed to make use of the green space available, creating the perfect environment for al fresco dining. The avenue aims to be a hive of activity, due to its prime location within Elephant Park, sitting on the newly opened route from the train station through to Walworth Road.
New Kent Road and Chatteris Quarter will feature an exciting mix of retail and flexible use spaces. This area promises to be a bustling thoroughfare, linking the new neighbourhood to the existing road network.
Guy Thomas, Head of Retail at Lendlease, believes that the launch of phase two will enhance the area.
He said: “Elephant Park will be a thriving community in central London; a place people want to live, build futures, work and visit; one that is sustained for the long term because it reflects, and adds, to the wider community.
“The offer of phase two will play a key role in fulfilling this by delivering a balanced mix of independent operators from the local area and brands with a wider footprint in London.”
Lendlease has already completed the first phase of Elephant Park – South Gardens – as well as two earlier developments in Elephant and Castle , Trafalgar Place and One The Elephant. There are now a further four phases to be completed across Elephant Park, with a final completion date of 2025.
