Street dance style specialist Upside Down Dance Academy is giving children and young people aged six to 118 the chance to learn how to dance while building their confidence by competing, performing and making new friends.

Held on Fridays in Elephant and Castle, the Academy is offering the first class to new students as a free trial.

Upside Down Dance Academy is an international and intergenerational dance training centre, founded and created by Lexi Maize, a freestyle hip hop/funkstyles/Afro and Caribbean dancer and dance coach from Paris, which aims to help those with no or little experience to learn to dance and reach their personal goals.

The classes bid to help young people uncover a hidden talent or passion for dance and cover a range of styles including street, hip hop, family dance Afrobeat and more.
