Want to learn more about your computer? Unsure on how to get started, or want to grow your knowledge? Then Digital Draper is the place for you.

One of the many events community group Draper Together puts on from its hub at Draper Hall, Digital Draper helps Elephant and Castle residents with their tech on a weekly basis.  It is aimed at people who are interested in learning the basics of using a computer.

Held every Saturday, the relaxed, free workshop provides a safe place for community members to ask questions, and also helps improve residents’ self- confidence, mental health and wellbeing by bridging the new and old communities neighbourhood through interaction.

People of all abilities are welcome, according to Jason, one of the Digital Drapers tutors: “The courses that are run are tailored to the ability and the needs of the learners.”

In a usual session, the content focuses on the use of email, and learning about what the internet is and how it works. In more detailed workshops, emphasis may be on understanding Microsoft Word and Excel, social media, shopping and browsing safely online and using mobile phones.

Digital Draper is just one of the regular educational events based at Draper Hall, with others including acting, singing, music and talks, as well as formerly holding chilldren’s events

This free event is for all, and if you have any questions, please visit the Draper Together website: You can follow also Draper Together on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
