Elephant & Castle studio holds an evening to celebrate dance
WHEN: Friday 21 June, 7pm
WHERE: Siobhan Davies Studio, 85 St George’s Road, London SE1 6ER
COST: £9/7 – tickets here
Dance enthusiasts can enjoy their perfect night out this June at an Open Choreography Performance Evening at the Siobhan Davies Dance Studios, an Elephant Park neighbour.
Located just a four-minute walk from Elephant & Castle tube station, the audience is invited to step inside the inspirational studios for a behind-the-scenes taste of the performances currently in development and to meet the artists.
A selection of solos and group work will be performed by dancers Luke Birch, Alice Tatge, Dinis Moreira, Cabral Machado and the company’s Young Artist Collective.
Not only will you be able to see the wide selection of dance being created under the Open Choreography programme at the dance studios, but you will also get the chance to step inside and admire the beauty of the RIBA award-winning building, which is the brainchild of choreographer Siobhan Davies CBE and is an integral part of Elephant & Castle’s landscape.
And if all that dance leaves you feeling peckish, you can tuck into a tasty treat in the courtyard where a local food truck will be in residence for the evening, and the bar will also be open.
