Beza’s vegan taste of Ethiopia is here!
Want good quality, well-priced, traditional East African food? Then Beza has got you covered!
Starting in 2006 in Camden Market, Beza opened a pop-up in East Street Market in 2016, before recently bringing their authentic Ethiopian fare the short distance to Elephant Park.
“Our menu is alive with truly delicious and healthy seasonal food, all served in a beautiful setting,” says Beza Ethio, who founded the eponymous Ethiopian brand. “Everything on the menu is 100 per cent vegan.”
The London-based restaurant moved into Sayer Street, a newly opened food and drink area that will soon connect the local high street – Walworth Road – and the new Elephant Park.
Traditional Ethiopian restaurant, Beza, which started in 2006 at Camden Market, before moving to Elephant and Castle as a pop-up in 2016, is evolving its existing concept to become a 100 per cent vegan eatery, using plant-based, seasonal, natural ingredients.
Beza was previously a tenant at the temporary Artworks Elephant, Lendlease’s pop-up retail park at Elephant Park, which was created to provide community-led space for start-ups and small businesses in the area.
“The opportunity to open a restaurant at Elephant Park is one we could not miss,” Beza continues. “We worked very closely with Lendlease throughout our time at Artworks Elephant and were able to develop our brand enough to be confident in opening a permanent space.
“East African food is not properly represented in the UK, but we know our delicious range of Ethiopian dishes – which are completely vegan – will be a hit in this part of Southwark, given our hugely successful time in Artworks.”
