Where to watch the Six Nations in London

Looking for somewhere to watch the Six Nations in London? Here’s our round up of the best places near Elephant Park.

  • 03 February 2022

The Tap In

2 Sayer Street, SE17 1FG

As it does with most major sporting events, The Tap In will be showing every match of the Six Nations, live, starting from Saturday 5th February. Based on our very own Sayer Street, The Tap In has recently carved out its place as a cool and comfortable setting for sports viewing. In our eyes – one of the best places in London to watch live sports.

As always – you can expect an impeccable selection of locally produced craft beers, Cuban food served by Miami Bites, and a stylish, welcoming atmosphere. If football is as much your thing as rugby, visit on a Thursday from 24th February for (what we are assured) is a smashing retro football quiz.

The Elephant and Castle

 119 Newington Causeway, SE1 6BN

Offering bookable tables for the Six Nations, The Elephant and Castle Pub has just opened a new basement sports bar offering more table space for avid sports fans. If you’re looking for pubs showing Rugby, at any time of year, this is your go to spot.

On top of that, the food is great (both main dishes and nibbles) and the drinks menu is extensive. During warmer months the outdoor beer gardens are full of happy faces, but if you wrap up warm it can be an equally pleasant place to spend a few hours.

The Tankard

111 Kennington Road, SE11 6SF

When asking where to watch the Six Nations in London, we really are spoilt for answers, here in the South East of the city. The Tankard is a historic Elephant & Castle institution, a rumoured past haunt of Charlie Chaplin, and now an outpost of bar chain and brewer Brewdog.

Focusing on great beer, pub grub and a healthy sporting calendar, this casual but stylish setting is loved by locals as a rugby pub; meaning you’re also likely to catch the autumn Internationals there, when the time comes.

Be sure to make the most of the food and drink offers that run throughout the week: Vegan Mondays, Steak Tuesdays, Wing Wednesdays, and of course the Sunday Roast with a Yorkshire Pudding the size of your fist.

Flat Iron Square

45 Southwark Street, SE1 9HP

Not quite as convenient as the other three, but still just a short walk from Elephant & Castle, Flat Iron Square is a street food market with three big screens showing “every big clash in the tournament” on their mammoth displays.

With indoor and outdoor space at the recently relocated venue, they’re already taking bookings, but they do leave ample space for walk-ins each day too.

Food providers include Po’Bros, Lil’ Watan, Good Slice and Gamekeeper but, for the duration of the Six Nations, the “Guinness Kitchen” will be open (with a little help from Gamekeeper) serving up an array of dishes infused with the popular drink.

So you no longer need to wonder where to watch the Six Nations in London. Make your way to Elephant & Castle where you’ll find the perfect place for those big match days.
