With Christmas over and the days beginning to get longer, you may want to kick off the year with a new health and fitness routine at one of the many sports centres in Elephant and Castle.

The Castle Centre

Recently redeveloped and fully funded by Lendlease as part of the development of One, The Castle Centre now features a state-of-the-art gym, a purpose-built sports hall, a spa and swimming pools. Alongside these facilities, the sports centre offers an extensive range of group exercise classes as well as a creche and cafe.

If you’re looking to improve fitness, classes to try out include group indoor cycling, circuits and body attack. The centre also offers badminton, basketball and aqua aerobics, just to name a few. The Castle Centre, along with five other fitness centres, is also free to Southwark borough residents every weekend, giving you no excuses! View the full list of activities here.

Take part in silver Tuesdays or Thursdays at the Academy of Sport near Elephant and Castle where you can choose from an indoor group gym session, indoor cycling, badminton or yoga.
